Das Wachstum der deutschen und der niedersächsischen Wirtschaft hat sich 2012 spürbar abgeschwächt. Das NIEDERSÄCHSISCHE INSTITUT FÜR WIRTSCHAFTSFORSCHUNG (NIW) rechnet in seiner aktuellen Einschätzung im NIW-Konjunkturletter aber wieder mit einer leichten Belebung im Jahr 2013. Für diese Belebung wird die weltwirtschaftliche Dynamik von entscheidender Bedeutung sein.
