Students from two academic years have made their requirements for further education in Lower Saxony. next to graduates with 13 years school duration, students of the G8, or the shortened secondary school duration did their Abitur. The Lower Saxony Institute for Economic Research evaluates the effects of the reform in Saxony-Anhalt scientifically. The results for Saxony-Anhalt can be interesting indicators for the situation in Lower Saxony.

Konjunkturletter Summer 2012

The NIW expects an on-going but slightly weakened economic growth for Lower Saxony in its current economic assessment. Even though the Lower Saxony economy is internationally competitive and has been influenced by the Euro crisis only to a small degree so far, there is great number of uncertainties for the future development, especially the shortage of skilled labor.
